Last year, all of the horse slaughterhouses in the United States were closed. The folks who think that slaughtering horses for food, to be shipped overseas, is barbaric and unnecessary had their way, and there is no slaughtering of horses in the United States.
Has that stopped horse slaughter? No. In the Journal of the American Veterinary Association an article pointed out that since the ban, horse slaughter in Mexico has jumped 312 percent.

Ever get shocked pulling a ragged lamp cord out of a socket? Or grabbing a jumper cable on the metal and not the insulation?
Multiply that by 1,000 or 10,000 or so. Focus the feeling so that your mind is wrapped totally around the electric pain shooting through every pore and cell of your body. You can think of nothing else as your muscles collapse and you fall face forward to the floor. Nothing else but blue voltage forcing you to scream like Mel Gibson after the big battle in "Braveheart." Your eyes slam shut. Your knees give way. Your fingers try to penetrate your palms. You cringe fetally on the carpet the way you did during the worst hangover of your life.
