City Councilman Gary Frago's voice tightened when he began to speak about his time in Vietnam before the city dedicated Sunday as "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day."

Thirty-three years ago, the last troops left the war-torn country.

Like many veterans, he stayed quiet when he returned from service. Didn't talk much about it, except with fellow veterans--until recently.
