In the last space here, I wrote about the U.S. government's program to help relocate Iraqis who've worked for international nongovernmental organizations, news organizations and other similar outfits.
Since Leila, our bureau chief, solemnly told our five correspondents and six drivers about the possibility, many of them have come to me with questions.
I answer the best and truest that I can. They're worried about discrimination, coming to America as foreigners. I tell them, sure, there is some, but most Americans take the measure of a person one-on-one: the content of his character, not where he's from or the color of his skin or what day of the week he worships on.
