Michael James Fincher, head of UC Merced's College Young Republicans, says he's asked Cathleen Galgiani's office--including her scheduler--three times to come to campus to debate her opponent, Jack Mobley.

He has "not been contacted back for a day that they could debate," Fincher wrote in an e-mail.

The assemblywoman did engage in a debate last week sponsored by the League of Women Voters, NAACP and the Merced County Chamber of Commerce.
