The Fresno Bee's front page story about residents rallying to save a Starbucks made me furious.

As of last week, about 180 people had filled out comment cards to keep the Starbucks at Marks and Herndon avenues open.

Really? Truly? With everything else happening in the world -- hunger, war and the economy -- people feel like galvanizing their support for a Starbucks? For the freedom to quickly down an iced macchiato?

We at the Sun-Star would like your view on whether press bias influences the runup to and outcome of elections--national, state and local.

And a recent study from Harvard, that right-wing bastion, indicates that Democrats consistently get more favorable coverage in the mainstream press than do Republicans:
