It's been about a month since PG&E starting billing local irrigation district customers for "new municipal departing load charges."
Looks as if it's time for a follow-up story on what residents affected by the bills are doing to protest the fees, which many call unfair.
Today I got a call from a man in Ripon who said he's been organizing people to sign petitions protesting the PG&E charges.

During the weekend, I picked revolution and it tasted sweet.
I went to the Masumoto Family Farm where I helped prepare brunch Saturday for about 200 people who, in groups, had collectively paid to adopt about 30 Elberta peach trees for the year. The people, who came from across the state, were there to harvest the luscious fruit from the trees.
As volunteers, we were allowed to pick and take as many peaches as we wanted from designated trees. I took six boxes and have been eating about two peaches a day, not yet growing tired of them.
