The Sacramento Bee ran a story a few days ago about the local food movement, which is the latest food trend.
The story is part of a new feature called The Conversation, meant to encourage even more chatter about a certain topic.
At the article's end, there's a short opinion piece by Daniel Sumner, a UC Davis professor of agricultural and resource economics, who I don't fully agree with. He says that there may not be broader benefits of trying to buy food locally.
