I may have cursed a cable guy or two under my breath for making me wait around on installation day, but I’ll think twice before doing it again.
After all, how could you be mad at the people who are helping clean up your community?
This Saturday, local Comcast employees and their families will join students and parents to spend the day repainting walls, cleaning up the grounds and planting at Atwater Castle Head Start Preschool.
This volunteer effort is part of the 7th Annual “Comcast Cares Day,” one of the largest single-day corporate volunteer efforts in the United States. The event will bring together about 50,000 Comcast employees, their families and friends nationwide to clean up their communities.
Comcast officials say about 4,000 employees and their families will do volunteer work at 28 sites in California.
The public is invited to help out at the event, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 2050 Academy Drive, Atwater.
