The Washington Post has begun a 12-part series [1] revisiting the murder of Chandra Levy, a Modesto resident who had been romantically involved with former Congressman Gary Condit, a Democrat who represented this area.
For the first time, he's consented to newspaper interviews about the case.
The speculation that Condit was involved with the murder ended his political career and also led to a series of failed lawsuits by him.
This series suggests that police bungled the investigation with a few key mistakes. No one has been charged with Levy's murder.
The sixth installment comes out Friday and I can't wait to read it. The reporters painstakingly recreate her disappearance and all the behind-the-scenes interviews.
