So long, and thanks for all the fish

This is my last day at the Merced Sun-Star and I just wanted to say thank you for the past two-and -a -half years.

I enjoyed covering arts and entertainment, food, travel and local events for our features section before moving on to write about some interesting topics in the environment. I met so many great people and experienced a lot of fun trips to art shows, plays, wildlife refuges, fish hatcheries, concerts, rivers and gardens.

I'll be heading to San Francisco to work for another paper, but I'll leave knowing that the San Joaquin Valley has more arts and nature than I ever expected.

Thank you to everyone who allowed me to visit a piece your life for my stories. I enjoyed meeting all of you.
