Starbucks closing Atwater store

Starbucks released the full list of the 600 stores it's shutting down, and the one at Bellevue Road and Winton Way in Atwater is among the casualties.
It's the only one in Merced County, though there are a bunch others closing in the Valley. No date for when the barista will serve up the last iced Americano.

The sad irony, of course, is that Saraphim Cafe, across the street, closed before Starbucks even opened because it didn't want to deal with the competition.
Atwater still has two other Starbucks -- one off Applegate Road and one along Bellevue Way, near Shaffer Road.

I'm sure Atwater will do just fine without the store at Bellevue & Winton. Most of their customers had gone to other stores anyway due to very bad customer service. I sure hope those Barista's don't transfer to other stores. I think they should also shut down the store on Yosemite avenue in Merced, those people have really bad customer service and could not make a good coffee if their life depended on it.
My personal favorite is at 5 corners in Atwater, if you want a great coffee with wonderful customer service this is the store that has it all!
