Stay safe - watch for those tractors

This time of the year, agriculture is really heating up, along with the weather. And to get their fields and animals taken care of, many farmers and ranchers are out on the roads on tractors.
Those tractors can be dangerous. Not to the folks who are driving them, but to the people who are sharing the road with them. Tractors don’t go very fast, and a lot of them take up a lot of room on the road. Too many times, I have seen cars passing these tractors on a blind curve, or when visibility is too low.
Most big tractors, and a lot of small ones, have a slow-moving vehicle sign on the back, and that’s exactly what they are doing - moving slow. But for some reason, some people don’t believe how slow the tractors are going, and end up running into the back of the tractor.
Not being careful around these big machines is dangerous. Those of us sharing the roads with these big machines need to remember, the tractors move slow, and sometimes their drivers can’t see everything. Remember, if you take on a tractor, most likely you are going to lose. So be careful.
