Austin Worden is a life-long resident of Merced County and calls Atwater his home. A 2000 graduate of Atwater High and 2004 graduate of CSU, Stanislaus, Austin is employed by the Winton Elementary School District as a seventh grade Literature, Language, and History teacher. After taking a leave of absence from Winton, he moved to Fuling, China and is currently teaching college English as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer. Along with teaching, Austin was a member of the City of Atwater Parks and Recreation Commission, a board member for the Atwater-Winton Kiwanis Club, head recreation leader for the City of Atwater Summer Drop-In Program, and a member of various community service organizations.
