The Merced County Board of Supervisors has set a date for its final budget hearing -- the public's chance to learn about and weigh in on the county's plan for spending your tax dollars over the next fiscal year.

Waste it?
That's a cop out comment. Many of the things the county has to pay for are already ear-marked. There is a little "wiggle room", and that responsibility is a big part of the Sup's jobs. The next few years are going to be REALLY difficult. So go, speak up, or shut up!
